NFL Europa
ended its season when the Hamburg Sea Devils defeated the Frankfurt Galaxy
in the league’s title game
Saturday. Casey Bramlet, allocated by the Washington Redskins, was the star
of the game, and was fittingly named MVP. He amassed 347 passing yards on 20
of 27 attempts and threw for four scores as Hamburg took home their first
ever World Bowl. His partner in crime was 49er receiver Marcus Maxwell, who
caught two of the scores. After these two teams split the season series, in
which both games came down to the wire, Hamburg reigned supreme when it came
time to take home the hardware. J.T. O’Sullivan certainly did his best to
keep his team in it, and possibly show the Bears what he can do, by passing
for 299 yards and 2 TDs on 23 of 39 attempts. Decori Birmingham and Sha-ron
Edwards each scored vital rushing touchdowns for the Galaxy, but in the end
it wasn’t enough to overcome the Sea Devils’ potent attack.
