Brady
Quinn: Now He's Pissed
By Andrew McCarten, TheSportsStand.com (4/20/07)
Congratulations, NFL. You have
just fueled the fire of the most fundame
ntally
gifted QB in the 2007 draft class. Former Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn sat for
22 picks before being drafted by the Browns in a trade with the Cowboys. The
Raiders chose Russell at 1. The Browns passed on him initially at 3. The
Dolphins chose Ted Ginn at 9. The Panthers skipped him. It was so
embarrassing he had to move to Roger Goddell’s private quarters. This day
will serve as motivation for a long time. He started almost every game
in his 4 year career at Notre Dame. People say he can’t win the big game?
Watch the tape of the USC game when he was a junior. He left it all on the
field, only to have the defense blow it. He was consistently asked to put up
huge amounts of points because the defense usually gave up at least 21 (on a
good day!)He led comeback wins against Michigan State and UCLA. Charlie Weis
has compared him to Tom Brady. All I can say is that if and when the
Dolphins or Raiders play the Browns and Quinn is starting, chalk up a win
for Cleveland.
