Kevin Garnett Traded for Four Celtics
By Ryan Smith, TheSportsStand.com (8/9/07)

Minnesota Timberwolves Super Star Kevin Garnett was traded for four Boston Celtics and this is one of the biggest trades for one player in NBA history.  Boston sent the Timberwolves forwards Al Jefferson, Ryan Golmes, slam dunk champion Gerald Green, guard Sebastian Telfair, and center Theo Ratliff.  This trade is huge because two of the four traded for Garnett are first round draft picks.  Also, let’s not forget that Ray Allen from the Seattle Super Sonics was traded to the Celtics to join Paul Pierce, so now Boston has a new Big Three.  With slashing scorer Paul Pierce, sharpshooter Ray Allen, and all around basketball bully Kevin Garnett the Celtics will definitely end up with better numbers then last season.  Boston maybe even become a threat for teams trying to get in the playoffs and if they play their cards right maybe even finals.

When it comes to Minnesota was this a smart trade? It depends on what you think of Kevin Garnett.  If you feel he’s getting a little old and washed up it’s a good trade.  But, if you think he was the backbone of their team and kept the team together then it’s a horrible one.  What do you think?  Do you think this was a good trade?  Sound off on our messageboard and tell us what you think.
